Lovely Linky: Top Five Friday

I am linking up with a blogger friend of mine {who has an awesome blog that you should all check out}. I love reading about her adventures with her husband, military life, and her new puppy and she has this awesome link-up party on Friday's called Top 5 Friday. Essentially, you have a chance to reflect on all the awesome things that happened in the past week and share some with everyone.

Top Five Friday

Before I begin, I just want to say that this week (and the one before) has been super awesome, considering my husband and I finally got to go on our honeymoon. We got to do a bunch of awesome things this week.

1. After we got back from our cruise on Sunday, we went back to the airport to pick up our car. We got to pick whichever car we wanted from a row of spaces. As you can see, Jordan was really excited to see a brand new beetle VW, so we got that one for the 4 days we would be spending on Orlando. {I think the car is kind of ugly, so I'm glad we didn't buy this car forreals}. Anyway, when we got to our condo, we basically got to relax the rest of the afternoon. Definite bonus because the cruise kept us busy from the early(ish) hours of the morning until late(ish) at night!

{Taken at night outside the park.}

{Doesn't that look awesome??
Not only is this a fantastic roller coaster, but they also have a video camera and you can personalize the music that plays.
At the end, you can watch clips from your video (or buy it). Needless to say, it's pretty sweet}
2. We went to Universal Studios & Adventure Island on Monday and Tuesday. The lines on Monday were pretty good, so we did everything we wanted to do in both parks on Monday! So on Tuesday, we just kind of moseyed around the park picking the rides we liked to do again.
*Let me just tell you something about Universal Studios. The go out of their way to individualize every ride. So when you go on the Harry Potter ride, everyone is in HP robes, and act like they are wizards in a castle. It is super fun.

{Butter beer mustache competition--who wore it better?}
3. We got to try Butter beer! And I must say, it was quite good! {Especially the foamy stuff on top}. Jordan, who doesn't like soda {or anything carbonated for that matter} really liked it as well. For those of you who are wondering, butter beer tastes kind of like carbonated hard caramel candies. Kind of. It's really sweet though. It does not taste like butter or beer, contrary to its name {well, I don't know about the beer part, but I don't think so}.

 {Just another random  picture of us on a ride. Goofs}

 {Us being excited}

{And Jordan and I trying to be like the blue men}

 {Front row seats merit ponchos. We didn't actually end up needing them though.}

4. While we were at the park, we passed by a booth giving out Blue Man Group tickets {we got ours for free!}. Well, free in the sense that we had to spend 2 hours listening to something about timeshares that we weren't going to buy {and didn't}. We were given some pretty not so great seats. Middle(ish) of the auditorium, and all the way on the end of the row. Then one of the ushers walked over to us and asked if we would like a better view, and of course we said yes! She led us closer and closer to the front row and finally sat us down right in the front row! We were pretty stoked. The blue man group was pretty weird and awesome at the same time. I had no idea what they did, but now I know! And if you want to get a glimpse, check out this video I'm pretty sure was not supposed to be taken......

{Ghirardelli mint shake, with a whole yummy bar inside}

 {A personalized Princess CD made just for Jordan!}

{That thing in the background is made of legos. Neat, huh?)

5. On our last day in Orlando, we stopped by Downtown Disney. We didn't buy anything, we just walked around, but it was fun to see. Plus, how can you go to Orlando and not do something Disney related?? Our honeymoon was awesome. We got to go on a cruise, spend a couple extra days in Orlando, relax a little, spend a lot of time together, have fun, learn some new skills {you will see what I mean by this in a future post about our honeymoon}.

Lovely Linky: Seven Questions

Hello readers! I've been slacking a bit on this link up, but here I am again with 7 Questions with Gentri Lee

So...you know how it's impossible to lick your elbow? Well, actually it's not. I can lick my elbow.
This isn't the greatest picture, but I really am licking my elbow.
It's one of my many stupid human tricks.

1. If you could be any princess, which would you be and why?
This one is hard because my favorite princess is Sleeping Beauty {Aurora}, but it would be totally awesome to be Gizelle {from Enchanted}, or Belle. If I were a Princess at Disney World, I would probably want to be Belle. If I were a real princess I'd want to be like Gizelle. And if I got to sing and live with 3 sweet little old fairy ladies, I would want to be Aurora.

2. Do you have any odd habits? (do things in order, words that you say too often, etc)
My closet is rainbow ordered.
 I absolutely cannot leave the bathroom without washing my hands. Ugh. Double ugh.
If I go to bed without writing in my journal, I can't stop thinking about it.
Same if I don't brush my teeth.
I put my leg up on the seat when I drive
Or pretty much whenever I'm sitting.
When I'm with my husband, I will try to spout out as many puns as I can think of.

3. What's your "go to" outfit?
Jeans, white shirt, TOMS

4. Do you have any siblings? What are their genders, ages, order of age, names, etc?
Three brothers
Oldest // Peter // 28 (I think??)
2nd oldest // Andrew // 24
Youngest // Michael // 17
Me // Older than Michael :)

5. What's your favorite precious stone?
I'm honestly not a big precious stone person.
But I adore pearls
Diamonds
And amethyst {{my birthstone}}

6. If you had a check in your hand for 1 million dollars, what would you do with it?
Oh gosh, I really don't know. My husband would make us put at least half into savings.
And the rest would go towards an airplane.
{That's how well I know my husband. He would totally take the money and buy an airplane.
Makes sense though; he is a pilot :) }

7. What do you love most about yourself--physically (eyes, smile, hair, etc. I don't know a good way to word that question...)
This probably sounds really weird, but I like my collar bone.
I don't know why. Mostly, I just think it looks nice.

Lovely Linky: Is That Normal?

I have to admit, I kind of love link up parties. People are so clever! I found this one as I was blog-stalking the lovely lady over at the {mr.} & the {mrs.}. It's from Allyce {what an awesome name! ;) } over at Chalk in the Rain {such a cute blog that I just discovered!}
Soo, here's a picture because blogs are always better with pictures and corresponding stories. This was my husbands first solo flight in the T-38 (which is a fighter/bomber trainer for the Air Force). He had just gotten back, and as you can see he was still alive and well.

I know it's not really normal to be a pilot in the Air Force,
so this picture is not normal ;)

Anywho, here goes! {p.s. how would you answer these questions??}

1. Is it normal to lie about your age?
Since I'm only 22, I don't really feel the need to lie about my age.
Unless some creepy guy is hitting on me. Then I would say I was 15 or something.
{Except now I can just say I'm married}
So no, not normal.

2.  Is it normal to have mistaken someone for the opposite sex?
It kind of depends. Have you ever seen someone and could not tell for your life if it was a boy or girl??? I have had that experience.
Also, with girls having really short haircuts and guys having really long hair,
sometimes, especially at first glance, you can't really tell.
So yes, it's normal.

3. Is it normal to go #2 in a public restroom?
Ugh, I hate going to the bathroom in any public restroom and I would definitely hold it if I had to go #2. So for me, it is not normal.

4.  Is it normal to sit RIGHT NEXT TO a stranger at the movie theater?
Unless the theater is packed, no.
But I've sat next to a complete stranger before.
But generally, no, it's not normal.

5.  Is it normal to lie about your weight?
For this one, I would have to say yes. Not because I weigh so much,
but I still don't like giving out my weight because
I don't want others to either
get upset (that they weigh more) or
tell me I need to gain weight (haha)
Maybe I shouldn't care.
But yes, it's normal.

6.  Is it normal to sing and dance in the car?
Totally normal.

7.  Is it normal to take self-pictures in public?
Generally, not normal.
Just ask someone that looks nice and honest to take your picture for you.

8.  Is it normal for women to have a gun license?
Why not? Women should be just as prepared to defend their family, children, etc.
Plus, I think it's all around just smart for every one to be educated on guns
And I will probably have a gun license someday.
So yes, normal.

9. Is it normal to post pictures online of yourself in a bikini?
Ummmm....no. Nope. Sorry. I don't want to see that.
I don't really agree with the whole bikini thing anyway.
So yeah, not normal. Please don't post pictures

10.  Is it normal to like the smell of gasoline?
I'm probably super weird, but I kind of like the smell of gasoline.
So normal for me? Maybe not for everyone else :)

Lovely Linky: Seven Questions

 //Sometimes my husband and I are goofs.
//Sometimes I'm just the goof :)

1. Are you a thrift shopper?
Working on it. Unfortunately, the closest thrift store is 150 miles away.
Also, I tend to spend wayy more money on stuff I don't need.
Why?
I don't know, I just NEED it!

2. You just had a very bad dream, what do you do?
I have been known to wake up crying,
wake up startled,
wake up within a dream and then wake up again.
But that's not even the weirdest.
Sometimes,
I will dream something that is so real to me
that I will literally get out of bed because I feel I need to.

Case in point: A few years ago I started working as a server in a restaurant.
One night, I was convinced that I had "tables" I had to wait on,
so I got out of bed and started helping them.
Who?
Yeah, no one.
But I was so convinced that they were upset with me that I started "helping" them.
Which again, was no one.
And that happens frequently. It's weird.
{Sorry I didn't really answer the question, huh?
I guess after that I just convince myself it's okay to go back to bed.
Or just cuddle with my husband, haha}

3. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Gentri said it best. Mint chocolate chip.
But I'll take regular chocolate if there's none available
{and no, vanilla mixed with chocolate sauce is not the same as chocolate ice cream,
 in case you were wondering}

4. What do you do with your money? (spend it, save it, invest it, bury it, etc)
I'm a kind of spender.
Okay, I am a total spender,
which I why I rarely go to the mall or shopping because
I will see things that I absolutely must have.
Fortunately, my husband is a saver :)

5. What was the last quote or statement you heard that really hit you?
This article actually.
It talks about giving up things in order to become happier.

6. What do you do when you're driving alone? (ex: dance, sing, listen to talk radio, etc)
Learn Spanish!
Haha, I live next to Mexico. I figure I should at least attempt.
And it has come in handy a couple of times.

7. Did you watch the premier of Bachelorette? If so, who was your favorite bachelor?
Nope! Sorry, but "Reality" shows aren't really my thing.
Except America's Next Top Model,
and that's only because of the amazing photography.

Lovely Linky: Seven Questions

Today I am linking up with Gentri Lee's Seven Questions {check out her awesome blog here}. I've just started doing these, so I've missed a couple, but here goes.

Please excuse the terrible quality of the photo, but this was taken this past December
{around Christmastime}, when Jordan and I visited Toronto.
Jordan {my husband} lived in Toronto for two years
{he served a mission, which is an LDS thing}.
On our visit, we went to a restaurant called "O Noir."

Now, this restaurant is no ordinary restaurant.
The servers are blind
{see the guy on the right? He was our server, and yes, he is blind},
and instead of sitting at a normal table where you can see
the people you're eating with and what you're eating,
you are led into a completely dark room.

Before going into the room, you pick out your meal {they have a two or three course meal}.
You can either choose what you want
or you can choose to be surprised!
I chose to be surprised for the dessert,
but I wanted to know what my meal was!
Jordan chose surprise everything {which is not surprising}.

It was an interesting and awesome experience.
 {oh yeah, and Jordan's surprise dinner included chicken, but when I tasted it,
I couldn't tell what it was at first!
It's a completely different experience when you can't see what you're eating.}

1. What is your favorite day of the week and why?
Hmm, that's hard, but I love Saturdays.
My husband works 12 hours a day,
comes home and studies,
and goes to sleep.
But on Saturdays I feel like I actually get to see him and spend time with him.
{I also love Sundays for the same reason, plus I get to go to church}

2. If you decided to change your name, what would you change it to?
I don't know that I would want to change my name. I actually really love my name.
But if I did, maybe Aria. Because I think that name is so pretty.

3. What is one product you use (it can be for anything) that you feel is a miracle worker?
My grandparents own this company called MiraCell. MiraCell is a natural oil that soothes skin irritations {bites, burns, scratches, cuts, etc}, and heals scars.

Well, last summer, I was running and fell. Onto pavement.
Naturally, I used my hands to stop my fall.
Unfortunately, that was a bad idea. I scraped my hand up pretty bad.
But I used MiraCell every day and I don't even have a scar.
Plus, it stopped the pain.
Oh yeah, and did I mention that it was completely gone in two weeks?

{Unfortunately, I don't have the pictures on my computer.
Hopefully I can update this post with the pictures when I get home}

4. High heels, flats, sneakers, or boots?
Flats. Or flat boots. But that doesn't mean I don't love heels. I just rarely wear them.

5. You see your favorite celebrity (it can be any kid of celebrity- movie star, singer, writer, political leader, blogger) walking down the street, what do you do?
I don't have a favorite celebrity {I don't think}, but if I saw any celebrity, I would just think it pretty awesome and go say hi!

6. If you could pick one item to never have to pay for again, what would it be?
Um, wow. Gas, definitely. Or clothes.

7. what was your favorite tv show or movie growing up?
I was a sucker for "Hey Arnold!" growing up.
