This past month in my blogging world has been filled with blog stalking, idea searching, letter writing, and package making. Okay, most of that might not make sense. But I have been learning about other bloggers, and I have just {sent!} my package to my secret blogger.
Any ideas of what it is?? I'm excited for my secret blogger to receive my package. I hope {she} likes it!

Lovely Linky: Seven Questions
Today I am linking up with Gentri Lee's Seven Questions {check out her awesome blog here}. I've just started doing these, so I've missed a couple, but here goes.
4. High heels, flats, sneakers, or boots?
Flats. Or flat boots. But that doesn't mean I don't love heels. I just rarely wear them.
5. You see your favorite celebrity (it can be any kid of celebrity- movie star, singer, writer, political leader, blogger) walking down the street, what do you do?
I don't have a favorite celebrity {I don't think}, but if I saw any celebrity, I would just think it pretty awesome and go say hi!
6. If you could pick one item to never have to pay for again, what would it be?
Um, wow. Gas, definitely. Or clothes.
7. what was your favorite tv show or movie growing up?
I was a sucker for "Hey Arnold!" growing up.
Please excuse the terrible quality of the photo, but this was taken this past December
{around Christmastime}, when Jordan and I visited Toronto.
Jordan {my husband} lived in Toronto for two years
{he served a mission, which is an LDS thing}.
On our visit, we went to a restaurant called "O Noir."
Now, this restaurant is no ordinary restaurant.
The servers are blind
{see the guy on the right? He was our server, and yes, he is blind},
and instead of sitting at a normal table where you can see
the people you're eating with and what you're eating,
you are led into a completely dark room.
Before going into the room, you pick out your meal {they have a two or three course meal}.
You can either choose what you want
or you can choose to be surprised!
I chose to be surprised for the dessert,
but I wanted to know what my meal was!
Jordan chose surprise everything {which is not surprising}.
It was an interesting and awesome experience.
{oh yeah, and Jordan's surprise dinner included chicken, but when I tasted it,
I couldn't tell what it was at first!
It's a completely different experience when you can't see what you're eating.}
1. What is your favorite day of the week and why?
Hmm, that's hard, but I love Saturdays.
Hmm, that's hard, but I love Saturdays.
My husband works 12 hours a day,
comes home and studies,
and goes to sleep.
But on Saturdays I feel like I actually get to see him and spend time with him.
{I also love Sundays for the same reason, plus I get to go to church}
2. If you decided to change your name, what would you change it to?
I don't know that I would want to change my name. I actually really love my name.
2. If you decided to change your name, what would you change it to?
I don't know that I would want to change my name. I actually really love my name.
But if I did, maybe Aria. Because I think that name is so pretty.
3. What is one product you use (it can be for anything) that you feel is a miracle worker?
My grandparents own this company called MiraCell. MiraCell is a natural oil that soothes skin irritations {bites, burns, scratches, cuts, etc}, and heals scars.

Well, last summer, I was running and fell. Onto pavement.
Naturally, I used my hands to stop my fall.
Unfortunately, that was a bad idea. I scraped my hand up pretty bad.
But I used MiraCell every day and I don't even have a scar.
Plus, it stopped the pain.
Oh yeah, and did I mention that it was completely gone in two weeks?
{Unfortunately, I don't have the pictures on my computer.
Hopefully I can update this post with the pictures when I get home}

The 26.2-mile Project {week 3}
Oh my heck, how in the world am I only on week 3?? And there are more months of this??
Okay, just kidding {kind of}
Monday 4/23: 2-3 miles {I ran 3}
Tuesday 4/24: 4-5 miles {I ran 5}
Wednesday 4/25: 3-4 miles {I ran 4}
Thursday 4/26: 4-5 miles {I ran 0...oops! Wow, I'm pretty good at slacking off!}
Friday 4/27: 7-8 miles {I ran 5 to make up for Thursday}
Saturday 4/28: {I ran 8 miles to make up for Friday}
Total: 25 miles {Wahoo! I made my goal this week. Next week's goal is 27, though I might not make it. This past weekend was super busy and I didn't run yesterday and I didn't run as far as I should have today. We'll see though.}
So without further ado, my running playlist {artist only}:

Dance, er, ahem, Run to the Music!
My "Running Playlist" on my iPod is kind of odd. You see, I'm very particular about the music
I listen to. I can't just run to anything {as most people can't}.
And it has nothing to do with the beat.
{Okay, almost nothing.}
When I run, the music has to inspire me in someway. Make me feel some sort of emotion
{does that make sense at all??}
It can be an inspirational song {even if it has little to no strong beat}.
It can be a song that makes me really happy or angry.
It can even be a song I would never ever ever listen to if I weren't running.
So without further ado, my running playlist {artist only}:
{owl city}
{mindy gledhill}
{one republic}
{taylor swift}
{avril lavine}
{boys like girls}
{michael buble}
{ok go}
{iron and wine}
{angels & airwaves}
But I skip songs a lot. And I sometimes turn to my Pandora stations:
{taylor swift station}
{today's hip hop and rap station}
{alternative endurance station}
{today's hits station}
And then I still skip songs.
Running music is hard for me to find because I'm so particular about it.
Do you have any running/workout songs that help you?

Home
This weekend, I drove up to San Antonio. My mom came to town for a conference for her work, so I stayed with her for the past couple of days. And it was a good couple of days, but also super super busy! {Obviously since I didn't post hardly at all!}
Anyway, some posts to come:
1. An apple photo shoot {with my brand, spankin' new lens!}
2. Shopping trip finds! {Adore craft stores :)}
3. Thrifting goodies + DIY projects!
4. Send Something Good surprises :)
Hope you all had a fantastic past week and weekend!!

The 26.2-Mile Project {Week 2}
Well, in accordance with my post a couple weeks ago, here is an update of my 26.2-mile project.
Monday 4/16: 2-3 miles {We ran 6 because my running buddy wanted to}
Tuesday 4/17: 3-4 miles {We ran 0...oops again!}
Wednesday 4/18: 2-3 miles {We ran 4}
Thursday 4/19: 3-4 miles {We ran 3}
Friday: 6-7 miles {I ran 7}
Total mileage: 20 miles. Not too shabby, though my goal was 21. This week's goal: 25 miles

Let me tell you a couple things about running:
I'm at the point where I don't enjoy it yet
Running in the morning is much better idea
than running in the evening
{I ran my 7 miles at 6pm on Friday night and it was still 88 degrees outside
...bad idea}
...bad idea}
Be prepared to take cold showers
{you will actually want to}
Sometimes, it is so hard to keep going...
...but you just have to
Run with someone {if you can}
it makes running a million times more enjoyable
You will never regret doing it when you've finished
Right when you want to give up, is right at the point where you shouldn't
It doesn't matter how slow you go, as long as you keep going.

A Confession: Hot Dog Fingers
I have to admit, there are very few things I really dislike about myself. Sure, there are some things I were I were better at {running, sewing, designing a blog}, but those are things I can work on. Change.
But physically, I like most of me. There is however one thing {okay maybe like 3, but I'm only talking about one here} that I don't like about myself. But I have come to terms with it, and can totally make fun of myself.
I have hot dog fingers. I actually think it's mostly my fault. I have this really bad habit of biting my fingernails, which makes them really long. {I think the purpose of fingernails is to elongate your fingers...}
Anyway, it makes wearing nail polish, rings, henna, or anything that attracts the eye to the hand slightly awkward.
Maybe someday, I will stop biting my fingernails {for legit, not just for a few months, which is currently my record}, and my fingers won't look so much like hot dogs. Either that or finger liposuction. {jk...ish}

{Twinners. I know you're thinking it. You don't have to lie. And it's okay to laugh. I did}
